SWISS WorldCargo is expanding its network for the Winter 2026/27 Timetable with the introduction of a new service to Bengaluru, its first ever destination in Southern India.
On 27 October SWISS WorldCargo transported its first shipments to its new destination: India’s fourth-largest city Bengaluru (formerly Bangalore) in Southern India. The first flight marked the beginning of SWISS WorldCargo’s new service, with a frequency of five times weekly, in its winter schedule from late October until 27th March 2027.

India is a strategically important destination according to SWISS WorldCargo, driven by its ‘large and fast-growing economy, expanding international trade, strong manufacturing base, and rising demand for fast, reliable logistics.’
Growing international connectivity through Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) is marked by commodities: pharmaceuticals and healthcare (medicines, vaccines, and temperature-controlled shipments), electronics and high-tech (components, semiconductors, and consumer electronics), automotive and industrial manufacturing (spare parts and time-critical components), textiles and fashion, and some specific perishable goods (fresh produce and flowers).
“The launch of new nonstop services between Zurich and Bengaluru is an important step in strengthening our presence in India. We are excited to provide our cargo customers with a new gateway for their high-value, care-intensive and temperature-sensitive cargo, and look forward to contributing to SWISS’ success in Southern India,” said Alain Chisari, Head of SWISS WorldCargo.
