- Four API-delivered applications that use artificial intelligence (AI) and are targeting measurable value for airlines by servicing specrific areas analysed to ‘move an airline’s cargo P&L,’ according to SmartKargo, released.
- The release marks the start of a portfolio SmartKargo will continue to expand.
- “Artificial intelligence is everywhere in air cargo conversations right now. Every vendor has a roadmap, every conference has a panel, and every airline is being told AI will change everything. At SmartKargo, we start with something far more useful than hype: a business question,” Olivier Houri, CRO of SmartKargo said.
SmartKargo, the cloud-based logistics platform that describes its specialism as connecting airlines to the e-commerce economy, today announced the first release of its AI Apps portfolio: four API-delivered applications that use artificial intelligence (AI) and are targeting measurable value for airlines by servicing specrific areas analysed to ‘move an airline’s cargo P&L,’ according to SmartKargo.
The release marks the start of a portfolio SmartKargo will continue to expand.
The initial products on offer are: AIRCAM (AI Revenue & Capacity Management) which forecasts capacity, predicts demand, and recommends dynamic spot rates in real time, so cargo teams can price and optimise loading and capacity utilisation on each flight and for each route, with the aim of providing a maximum yield.
AINOC (AI-Powered Cargo Control Tower); which is stated to give operations teams a single, predictive view across the network, finding exceptions before they become delays and costly recoveries.
AIULD (AI ULD & Asset Management); which is described as tracking and forecasting ULD location, condition, and availability, cutting the losses and delays that come from asset guesswork.
AICTX (Universal Messaging & Interoperability Backbone); which aims to connect cargo systems and partners through a single, standards-based messaging layer, so clean, accurate data moves across the network and can power every downstream decision according to SmartKargo.
“Artificial intelligence is everywhere in air cargo conversations right now. Every vendor has a roadmap, every conference has a panel, and every airline is being told AI will change everything. At SmartKargo, we start with something far more useful than hype: a business question,” Olivier Houri, CRO of SmartKargo said.
“These apps aren’t a research project or a roadmap slide. They’re built to plug into whatever cargo system an airline already runs, start delivering value in weeks, and grow with the airline from there. That’s what flexible, responsibly built AI should look like.”
