CLARION from the UAE and WTO from Romania, both esteemed members of the Pangea Network, are currently engaged in a highly successful collaboration for the ongoing transportation of alfalfa from Romania to the UAE. With each lot consisting of 15-20 containers, the transportation of this sensitive commodity, prone to ignition and damage risks during shipping, presents continuous challenges. Nevertheless, CLARION and WTO demonstrate their expertise, ensuring seamless operations.
Efficiently loading all containers into a single lot within just a few days remains a primary challenge at origin. Each container requires careful stacking and securing, taking approximately two hours per container. Through close supervision, WTO team successfully coordinates and executes the task, ensuring the entire lot is prepared for vessel departure.
Port congestion at Constanta, resulting from the conflict in Ukraine, adds an additional obstacle. The containers must be transported individually in a convoy, closely stacked to form a consolidated lot. This ensures the necessary paperwork is processed under a single bill of lading (B/L).
The transit time from Romania to the Jebel Ali port in the UAE averages between 27 and 30 days. Once arrived at destination, CLARION, who is coordinating responsibilities throughout the journey, oversees the import clearance processes and transport to the final destination using their own fleet of trucks. CLARION’s expertise proves invaluable as they maintain effective communication with all parties, including the customer, guaranteeing a hassle-free operation.
CLARION and WTO are actively preparing for their next venture: transporting the next 10 containers of alfalfa from Romania to the UAE. Their experience and established foundation of trust and communication position them well to overcome any challenges that may arise.
The ongoing cooperation between CLARION and WTO exemplifies the strength of partnership and expertise within the Pangea Network. By efficiently managing the loading process, addressing port congestion, and streamlining operations, they ensure the secure and timely transportation of alfalfa.
