- United Airlines will increase weekly flights from Quito’s Mariscal Sucre International Airport in 2026, rising from 7 to 9 flights from 29 March, up to 12 flights between 21 May and 7 September, and returning to 9 flights from 8 September to 24 October.
- The expanded schedule reinforces United’s 33-year commitment to connecting Ecuador with the United States via its Quito–Houston route.
- Quito Airport’s operator, Corporación Quiport, highlighted the increase as a boost to connectivity and a recognition of Houston’s strategic role as a global hub.
United Airlines has announced a significant increase in flight frequencies from Quito’s Mariscal Sucre International Airport for 2026. Starting March 29, the airline will increase its weekly flights from 7 to 9, and between May 21 and September 7, it will expand to 12 flights per week. Finally, from September 8 to October 24, it will operate 9 weekly flights.
“For 33 years, we have connected Ecuador with the United States through our direct flights between Quito and Houston. Today, we are thrilled to announce a significant increase in our flight capacity, reaffirming our commitment to our country,” said Bettina Carvajal, United Airlines’ Country Manager in Ecuador.
