Talma, a member of Grupo Sandoval based in South America, has achieved a new goal in strengthening its Integrated Management System (IMS) by extending the scope of its international certification granted by AENOR.
AENOR is an independent Spanish auditor that checks companies against international standards, headquartered in Madrid and founded in 1986.
This now includes its operations in Mexico, in addition to Peru and Ecuador. According to TALMA, ‘this achievement reinforces the company’s commitment to continuous improvement and implementation of international quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety standards.’
Extending the scope of this certification required coordinated efforts among the teams responsible for the IMS across the operations involved, together with various company departments, to align criteria and ensure the consistent application of the standards and processes covered by the certification.
The process included on-site visits, guidance, and ongoing follow-up among participating teams.
These actions facilitated the exchange of best practices and harmonization of criteria and processes, contributing to more efficient, consistent management focused on continuous improvement.
“This achievement reflects Talma’s evolution over nearly three decades. Throughout these years, we have continuously strengthened our management system, and today, this new achievement allows us to further consolidate a culture of continuous improvement based on quality, safety, and sustainability as fundamental pillars of our management approach and of the commitment we uphold to our customers and other stakeholders,” said Arturo Cassinelli, Corporate Chief Executive Officer of Talma.
Since obtaining ISO 9001 certification in 1998 and subsequently adopting the Integrated Management System based on three international standards (Trinorma) in 2004, Talma has maintained steady progress in consolidating its management systems. This trajectory reflects the company’s commitment to operational excellence and supports its ability to respond to the needs of each operation, delivering services that comply with international standards and the increasing demands of the airport services industry.
