ASL Airlines Belgium and Swissport Belgium are extending their collaboration at Liège Airport (LGG). The continuation of the successful partnership which dates back to 2017 further strengthens Swissport’s position in Liège. It covers complete air cargo services, including ramp handling, warehousing, and customs clearance.
Swissport has been providing air cargo handling for ASL Airlines Belgium at Liège Airport (LGG) since 2017. The extended contract covers complete cargo services, including ramp handling, warehousing, and customs clearance for general, perishable, and sensitive pharmaceutical cargo. Swissport operates pharma-capable cargo centers at a growing number of locations around the world among them the Belgian airports in Liège and Brussels. These facilities combine temperature-controlled air cargo centers with standardized processes and specialized staff.

ASL Airlines Belgium specializes in long-haul international cargo flights between China, the USA, Canada, and Liège in Belgium. With its fleet of Boeing 737 and wide-body open-nose Boeing 747-400ER aircraft, ASL Airlines Belgium can carry oversized and special cargo, as well as general cargo, perishables, pharmaceuticals, and live animals. In addition, ASL Airlines Belgium provides capacity for third-party airlines and clients.

In 2022 Swissport in Liege handled over 21 weekly flights and over 140,400 tons of cargo for ASL Airlines Belgium, almost half of all flights and cargo volumes handled by the Swissport team at Liège Airport (LGG).
In Belgium, Swissport operates at two airports: At Lige Airport (LGG), the company provides ramp handling, and air cargo services, and manages several first and second-line air cargo warehouses totaling 26,000 sqm. At Brussels Airport (BRU), Swissport provides cargo handling and manages a further 25,000 sqm of warehousing facilities, including a state-of-the-art Swissport Pharma Center.
