Saudia Cargo has announced a significant expansion of its international flight network with the official launch of a new scheduled freighter route connecting Dhaka (DAC), Bangladesh, to Frankfurt (FRA), Germany.
Commencing on August 14, the service operates two weekly flights, establishing a direct air connection designed to enhance trade flow and logistics efficiency between Asian and European markets.
The strategic introduction of the Dhaka–Frankfurt route expands Saudia Cargo’s intercontinental reach, providing faster, more reliable transit times for international shipments. Bangladesh serves as a vital manufacturing and export hub in Asia—particularly for ready-made garments, textiles, and perishable goods—while Frankfurt represents one of Europe’s primary logistics hubs and financial centers. The new service offers commercial partners and freight forwarders seamless, streamlined access to major consumer and industrial markets across Europe.
This route expansion reinforces global supply chain resilience by facilitating the movement of high-demand commodities, including textiles, pharmaceuticals, industrial equipment, and e-commerce shipments between the two continents. The twice-weekly frequency provides reliable capacity to meet growing market demand for swift cross-border delivery.
The launch of the Dhaka–Frankfurt service aligns with Saudia Cargo’s continuous operational momentum and global network expansion strategy, following a strong annual performance of delivering over 570,000 tons of cargo across more than 90 international destinations. The new service is supported by ongoing investments to enhance operational capacity and modernize the dedicated cargo fleet, including the recent acquisition agreement for four Boeing 777-200 freighters to bolster Saudia Cargo’s global presence.
