- SATS has confirmed that its staff in the Middle East remain safe and that its operations in the region continue without material disruption, despite escalating tensions and airspace closures affecting parts of the Gulf.
- In a statement issued on 6 March, the Singapore-based air cargo handling provider said it is closely monitoring the conflict in the Middle East, which has led to unprecedented airspace restrictions in some Gulf states and is beginning to impact global air cargo supply chains.
The company noted that while the situation has caused flight disruptions that may temporarily delay some shipments, air cargo networks are typically able to adapt as airlines reroute flights and supply chains adjust to new conditions.
SATS said its extensive global network positions the company to help manage potential disruptions and support shifting trade flows as the situation evolves. The group remains in close contact with airline customers and is prepared to adjust operations depending on how regional trade lanes develop.
The company also confirmed that employees based at its facilities in the region are safe. SATS currently operates cargo handling facilities in Saudi Arabia and Oman, and operations at these stations continue under established safety and security protocols.
According to the company, it has not experienced any material interruption to its Middle East operations since 28 February 2026.
