- Riege Software and CargoAi have expanded their partnership by integrating CargoCONNECT’s Track & Trace API into Scope, enabling freight forwarders to receive standardised airline shipment events directly within their transport management system.
- The integration provides tracking across more than 260 airlines, automatically retrieving and standardising milestones for import, export, consolidated, back-to-back and direct air shipments. Pilot data showed up to 91.3 percent export and 90.2 percent import event coverage.
- The solution is designed to reduce manual tracking and flight research, close visibility gaps and give forwarders more complete shipment data within Scope, supporting faster responses to customers and more efficient airfreight operations.
Riege Software has expanded their partnership with CargoAi, a global digital enabler for airfreight, to integrate CargoCONNECT’s Track & Trace API into Scope, Riege Software’s transport management system.
The integration supports Riege Software’s Airline Messaging Premium capability, enabling Scope users to receive standardized airline shipment events directly within their existing operational environment. By automatically bringing shipment milestones into Scope, the integration helps freight forwarders improve shipment visibility, reduce manual tracking tasks and respond faster to customers.
Enhanced tracking capabilities with CargoCONNECT’s Track & Trace API
By embedding CargoAi’s Track & Trace API as a component into the Airline Messaging Premium in Scope, Riege Software further strengthens its commitment to delivering connected and data-driven airfreight operations for freight forwarders with automated access to timely and reliable shipment status updates.
The integration addresses a persistent operational challenge in the industry. Incomplete shipment event coverage often requires operations teams to search airline websites for actual departures and arrivals, copy information from external sources and manually complete missing milestones within their transport management system. Furthermore, the integration improves shipment visibility by increasing data coverage for import flows, an area where forwarders have historically encountered tracking gaps.
Key benefits of the integration
Track & Trace API
Monitor shipments across 260+ airlines directly within Scope. Shipment events are automatically retrieved and standardized, with support for import, export, consolidated, back-to-back and direct air shipments for both IATA and non-IATA freight forwarders.
Key highlights of the Airline Messaging Premium feature
Standardized milestone visibility across FWB, RCS, MAN, DEP, ARR, RCF, NFD and DLV events.
Up to 91.3% export and 90.2% import event coverage achieved during the 2026 pilot with Riege Software.
Up to 90% key event coverage to help close shipment visibility gaps, depending on airline and shipment data availability.
“We are proud to support Riege Software with CargoCONNECT’s Track & Trace technology. By aggregating and standardizing shipment events from more than 260 airlines, the integration delivers more complete and consistent data directly into Scope. It demonstrates how API connectivity can close visibility gaps and strengthen the digital infrastructure behind air cargo operations, ” Matt Petot, CEO of CargoAi, said.
“Our partnership with CargoAi enables freight forwarders to access airfreight rates and booking capabilities directly within Scope. With the Track & Trace API as the latest addition to this collaboration, we can now further enhance shipment visibility, improve milestone coverage and reduce manual flight research, helping our customers manage the full airfreight workflow more efficiently from their daily operational system,” Benjamin Riege, CMO, Riege Software, explained.
