• Menzies Aviation, the leading service partner to the world’s airports and airlines, has announced the appointment of John Frame as Chief Legal & Sustainability Officer, succeeding John Geddes, who will retire in November 2026 after an exceptional three-decade career with the business.
• John Frame will assume his new role on 1 September 2026, leading Menzies’ global legal, governance, compliance and sustainability functions.

Since joining Menzies in 2021 as Group Legal Counsel, and becoming Group Head of Legal in 2023, John has led major legal programmes, strengthened governance frameworks and supported key strategic transactions underpinning the company’s global expansion.

John Geddes has held senior leadership roles since joining the company in 1997, most recently as Chief Governance & Sustainability Officer & Company Secretary. Throughout John’s tenure, he has helped steer the transformation of the John Menzies Group and supported Menzies Aviation’s growth from a single cargo facility at London Heathrow to a global business operating at 350 airports in 65 countries. He will continue in his role until his retirement at the end of November and continue supporting the business as a Non-executive Director from December.

As part of the new leadership structure, Owen Harkins has been promoted to Group Company Secretary, also effective 1 September. Owen joined Menzies in 2016 and has played a central role in the evolution of the Group’s governance and compliance frameworks. He has been instrumental in major M&A activity bringing strong technical expertise, deep knowledge of the business and proven leadership – making him well placed to step into the Group Company Secretary role as the business continues to grow.
