• Martin Schulze, CEO of Bonn-based BusinessCode GmbH, has been appointed to the Federal Economic Senate (Bundeswirtschaftssenat) of the German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (BVMW).
• With this appointment, the BVMW recognizes Schulze’s entrepreneurial achievements as well as his commitment to digitalization, innovation, and Germany’s SME sector.
• Since 1999, BusinessCode has been developing customized software solutions for companies and has grown into an internationally active technology partner.

Martin Schulze has shaped the company’s strategic direction as CEO since 2018. The spin-off of BlueBox Systems also resulted in the creation of an innovative IT subsidiary whose digital solutions are now used in air freight logistics worldwide.

“Being appointed to the Federal Economic Senate is a great honor for me and, at the same time, an incentive to actively contribute the perspectives of innovative SMEs to the economic policy dialogue. Especially in times of profound change, Germany needs strong small and medium-sized companies that take responsibility and help shape the future,” says Martin Schulze. He is personally delighted about the appointment, which he also sees as recognition of the work of the entire BusinessCode team.

The Federal Economic Senate is regarded as one of the BVMW’s most important leadership bodies. It brings together around 400 leading figures from business, academia, politics, and society who jointly develop ideas and initiatives for a strong and future-oriented economic policy. Its members represent companies with combined annual revenues of around €120 billion and are responsible for more than 1.2 million employees. They include numerous global market leaders and hidden champions from Germany’s SME sector.

Membership in the Federal Economic Senate cannot be applied for. Appointments are made exclusively by nomination and recognize outstanding entrepreneurial achievements as well as exceptional commitment to Germany as a business location.
