Lödige Industries has been named “Air Cargo Automation Provider of the Year” at this year’s Payload Asia Awards in Singapore for the latest version of its innovative terminal management system Professional Cargo Suite. Through constant live updates, the system allows processes to be adjusted quickly and precisely within the cargo terminal, resulting in increased efficiency. For the tenth consecutive year, Singapore hosted the awards ceremony for the international trade journal for logistics.
Demand for global air freight logistics continues to grow. In addition, the growth of e-commerce is changing customer expectations regarding turnaround times and the traceability of electronic waybills. As a result, terminal operators today face a variety of challenges. Lödige Industries developed the Cargo Professional Suite terminal management system, for which they have now been named the Air Cargo Automation Provider of the Year by Payload Asia
“We would like to thank the expert jury as well as everyone who voted for us online. This award is a further incentive to strengthen our market leadership with innovative products”, said Nicholas Tripptree, Managing Director for Asia-Pacific, for Lödige Industries, at the Payload Asia Award ceremony in Singapore. “We have a long history of working with many airlines, such as KLM, AAT, British Airways, Turkish Cargo, as well as ground handling agents such as dnata, Menzies, Celebi, Swissport and many others. With our Cargo Professional Suite, we integrate air cargo business processes, state-of-the-art material handling technology and automation activities into one intelligent IT management system that gives our customers maximum control and efficiency.”
The Cargo Professional Suite uses data that was traditionally only available for post-event analysis to change the outcome of cargo handling in real time. The entire flow of cargo is mapped in one system, so everyone involved always knows where each item of cargo is, where it is needed next, and by when. With the help of this data and the new “Live Analytics Suite”, it is possible to make all the necessary interventions to ensure that everything runs according to plan. The same data set also facilitates progress updates for customers and Cargo IQ reporting.
Lödge Industries’ technology annually handles 28 million tons of air cargo worldwide. The company has been providing innovative solutions for the air cargo industry over 45 years and is represented in the APAC region with locations in Beijing, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney.
