The Rhenus Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Joana Baetz as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). As of November 1, Dr. Joana Baetz has assumed this position, marking the next step in the career of the HR expert after her successful management of the group’s Air & Ocean and Port Logistics divisions.
In her new role, the 41-year-old will be responsible for human resources management of the entire Rhenus Group, taking on the position in a phase of rapid growth and high demand for personnel.
Tobias Bartz, CEO and chairman of the management board of the Rhenus Group, explains the background: “We will further our strong growth strategy and focus on the expansion of our global team until 2025. Going forward, the support of Dr. Joana Baetz will be integral to these aims as she applies expertise refined at the group and builds on her close identification with our strategy and brand. She thus brings the ideal prerequisites for achieving our personnel management development targets on a global level.”
Joana Baetz has a wealth of knowledge in the logistics sector. Before joining Rhenus in 2018, she worked at Logwin AG in various HR specialist and management roles. She began her career as a personnel officer at SDV Geis, now Bolloré Logistics. At the Rhenus Group, she was responsible for global human resources in the Air & Ocean Division, and since last year, she has also held this position at Rhenus Port Logistics.
Commenting on her new position, Joana Baetz said: “The achievement of our growth targets crucially depends on our capability to internationalise our human resources goals across the entire group and, in this context, build a strong, global employer brand. Likewise, we want to offer attractive career paths and development programs to inspire current and future Rhenus employees and thus promote their loyalty.”
