Embraer announced today during the Farnborough International Airshow a significant milestone for the future of Brazilian air traffic. Atech, an Embraer Group company specializing in systems engineering, as well as decision support and situational awareness technologies, has signed contracts with the Department of Airspace Control (DECEA).
The two new contracts, totaling US$17 million, aim to modernize control centers and upgrade strategic solutions for the management of national airspace flow. The solutions, SAGITARIO and SIGMA, have both been developed by Atech in partnership with the Brazilian Airspace Control System Implementation Commission (CISCEA/DECEA).

SAGITARIO is an essential system for air traffic management throughout Brazil. Through its proven reliability and efficiency, the system processes data from various sources, such as radars and satellites, consolidating them into a single visual interface for air traffic controllers. This integrated view of the airspace enables faster and more accurate decision-making, ensuring the safety and smooth flow of air traffic.
SIGMA is a complete solution for air traffic flow management, which optimizes the management of air traffic information, flight plans, airway and airport capacities, in addition to distributing air traffic more efficiently.
The signing of these new contracts reinforces the long-standing partnership between Atech and DECEA, consolidating the company’s position as a leader in the development of cutting-edge technological solutions for the Brazilian aviation sector.
Atech CEO Rodrigo Persico, celebrating these new contracts, expressed great satisfaction: “We feel honored and committed to DECEA/CISCEA. These contracts mark an important milestone for Atech and for the development of aerospace technology in Brazil. We believe that the modernized solutions will contribute significantly to the optimization of Brazilian air traffic, benefiting passengers, airlines, and the aviation sector as a whole.”
