Cargolux has taken another step in its digital transformation strategy through a partnership with Cathay Technologies that will see the introduction of the Electronic Flight Folder (EFF) across the Luxembourg-based carrier’s flight operations.

The agreement, signed at Cargolux headquarters in Luxembourg, reflects a growing focus across the aviation sector on digitisation, operational efficiency and enhanced flight safety. The implementation of the EFF will provide flight crews with a fully integrated platform that centralises critical operational information, helping pilots access and manage essential data through a single digital interface.

For Cargolux, the move comes at a time when airlines are increasingly seeking technology solutions capable of handling growing operational complexity while supporting sustainability objectives. The Electronic Flight Folder consolidates flight plans, load sheets, fuel information and operational communications into one streamlined environment. A significant feature of the platform is Ops Chat, a real-time communication tool embedded within the operational workflow. The capability allows flight crews and operational teams to exchange information instantly, reducing delays and improving situational awareness throughout a flight’s lifecycle.
