The installation of these charging stations is a crucial investment to answer the needs of the passengers and staff, as the use of electric vehicles is growing in Belgium. This initiative is significant in Interparking and Brussels Airport’s commitment to more sustainable transport and innovation.
On the road to greener mobility
Interparking offers more than 13.000 parking spaces at Brussels Airport. Until recently, EV drivers had access to 50 specially equipped parking spaces on site. Given the growing use of electric cars, 500 new charging stations for passengers have been installed in P1 and P3, conveniently located in front of the airport terminal. Two hundred new charging stations specifically for staff have been added to the P1 parking area, boosting the total number of parking spaces equipped with charging capabilities to 750.
“At Interparking, we are committed to contributing to greener mobility. The addition of these charging points at Brussels Airport is just a fraction of our ambitious project to extensively roll out electric charging stations in Belgium and the eight other European countries we serve,” says Roland Cracco, CEO of Interparking.
Electric mobility is an integral part of airport’s sustainability strategy,” explains Arnaud Feist, CEO. “All our passengers are already transported on the tarmac in electric busses, and we are fully electrifying our company fleet. The number of electric cars is growing, so the need for charging points also increases. Providing the necessary infrastructure for our passengers and staff is therefore a priority. Thanks to our partner Interparking, passengers can recharge their vehicles in our car parks while on holiday.”
Recharging your car while recharging yourself
The car parks are equipped with the latest generation charging stations, allowing passengers to recharge their car while they recharge their batteries on holiday. The Interparking team is finalising the wiring and technical installation to ensure a smooth and secure user experience. The 700 new charging stations will be gradually activated from the beginning of March.

The power stations can be used with any charging card, and parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If activated by Pcard+ from Interparking, no activation costs will be applied. Optimised for long-term parking, these slow-charge stations are a perfect match for cars left stationary for multiple days or weeks while the owner travels. There are no additional fees for parking at these charging stations even after the charging process is complete.
