Avianca Cargo has announced the start of its cargo operation between Bogota and Caracas on Saturday, March 7, thus consolidating its commitment to connectivity and the development of trade between Colombia and Venezuela.
The route was operated on an Airbus A330 Freighter, with a capacity of 60 tonnes per flight. This offer is complemented by the operation of Avianca’s passenger route in narrow-body aircraft, which provide an additional capacity of 7 tons per week.
The start of this operation reinforces Avianca Cargo’s value proposition in the region by expanding its operational capacity and offering more efficient and reliable logistics solutions for importers. In addition, it boosts trade between the two markets.
“With this new cargo operation between Colombia and Venezuela, Avianca Cargo strengthens logistics flows between the two countries and expands air freight transport alternatives in the region. The first direct operation between Bogota and Caracas will have a weekly frequency, with a view to gradually increasing the supply depending on the evolution of market demand,” said Diogo Elías, CEO of Avianca Cargo.
In this way, Avianca Cargo continues to expand its network and strengthen its capacity to connect strategic markets and accompany the growth of trade between Colombia and Venezuela.
Likewise, along with the resumption of cargo operations, Avianca announced its launch on sales of the second daily frequency of passenger transport on the route between Bogotá and Caracas, expanding travel options and reinforcing binational connectivity between the two countries.
