Lufthansa has confirmed the temporary suspension of its cargo operations to and from Istanbul (IST), Ankara (ESB), Izmir (ADB), and Antalya (AYT) until the 30th September 2026.

This is due to a local ground handling service provider in Türkiye being affected by the latest US sanctions according to Lufthansa.

A spokesperson for Lufthansa cargo has confirmed the carrier is doing its utmost to resume normal service, and said “We are working with the highest priority to find a solution and resume cargo handling as quickly as possible.”
