- Staying agile and dynamic while building and maintaining resilience will be critical drivers for success in current market conditions.
Closing out the first day of the EU Cross-Border e-commerce Forum, industry leaders agreed that resilience, planning and adaptation will be critical in navigating the current climate of volatility affecting the air cargo market.
While Scholten did maintain ‘when is something not happening,’ the consensus emanating from the panelists was a coherent message of staying agile, dynamic, and resilient, while also being prepared to adapt to the changing sector conditions.
Disruption is no longer exceptional
‘You have to be agile, dynamic’ Meier said, as the point stood across the discussion. Even e-commerce has boomed and not flattened out in recent years. Geopolitical volatility and lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic were expressed by the panelists as reasons why carriers should adapt and are still able to plan in the mid to long-term if these plans are in themselves adaptable.
