• MSC Air Cargo has ordered five Boeing 777-8 Freighters, with deliveries due from the early 2030s, to expand its long-haul network and support continued global growth.

MSC Air Cargo today announced an order for five Boeing 777-8 Freighters, unveiled at the Farnborough International Airshow. With deliveries expected from early 2030s, the next-generation widebody freighters represent both a renewed commitment to serving the company’s customers and a further step in the expansion of its global network.

The order reflects the ambition behind MSC Air Cargo’s growth strategy. Since launching operations in late 2022, the company has built a fleet of seven Boeing 777-200 Freighters serving strategic gateways across Europe, Asia and the Americas. The addition of five 777-8 Freighters will strengthen its long-haul capacity and support the continueddevelopment of its network in the decade ahead.

As the newest member of Boeing’s 777X family, the 777-8 Freighter is designed to be one of the largest, longest-range and most capable twin-engine freighters in the industry. Powered by next-generation GE9X engines and featuring a newcarbon-fiber composite wing, it is built to deliver a significant improvement in fuel efficiency, lower emissions and operating costs, bringing greater operational flexibility, sustainability and advanced capability to MSC Air Cargo’s fleet.
