Specialist air cargo handling is again playing a role in moving cultural heritage across borders, with Lufthansa Cargo transporting modern masterworks from Museum Berggruen, Berlin, to the United States.

The carrier said it was chosen once again to transport works from the collection, following the museum’s global tour in 2024. This year, the shipment travelled across the Atlantic for the exhibition “Picasso–Klee–Matisse: Masterpieces from the Museum Berggruen” at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
“This year, we are proud to have been chosen once again to transport these modern masterworks – this time across the Atlantic to the United States,” says a LinkedIn post.
The exhibition opened on 20 May and marks a rare US debut for an important German collection. According to Lufthansa Cargo, it features more than 95 paintings, watercolours, drawings and sculptures on loan from Museum Berggruen, Berlin.
