Pro Carrier has announced a new US partnership that will combine first mile and final mile capabilities to the UK, Europe and beyond. The new end-to-end service will see Pro Carrier join forces with Forward Transit to provide customers with a fully integrated and tracked service under one umbrella.
The partnership will combine Pro Carrier’s UK and European network and its streamlined customs technology with Forward Transit’s US hubs to deliver a seamless cross border e-commerce service. Utilising Pro Carrier’s collaboration with AEB SE and Hurricane Commerce, the service will transform the customer journey with the very best data, technology and customs management.
With locations along both the East and West Coast of the US, Forward Transit will strengthen Pro Carrier’s US reach for online retailers, providing seven-days-a-week UK deliveries with Royal Mail, a returns portal providing full visibility from retailer to mile end and customer service excellence in handling VAT duties and customs processes.
Chris Farren, Head of Strategic Partnerships, Pro Carrier, said: “This is an exciting new relationship for Pro Carrier as we continue to bolster our e-commerce offering. Forward Transit is the perfect partner to provide us with East to West Coast accessibility and support our end-to-end capabilities. Customers will receive full transparency, tracking and delivery efficiency throughout the journey, providing them with peace of mind that their goods are in safe hands from start to finish.”
Scott Melville, Chief Strategy Officer, Forward Transit, added: “The combination of our daily departures from the US and Pro Carrier’s power and network in the UK and Europe provides even more expertise to meet the needs of retailers, brands and e-commerce sellers. With control up until the final mile, flexible collection options and a portal providing access to a global network of carriers and exporting locations, our combined technologies and tracking from despatch to delivery means both retailers and their customers have visibility and reassurance throughout.”
Forward Transit has eight facilities across the East to West Coast of the US. The partnership will begin operation from New Jersey, with a second site activated on the West Coast in 2025.
